I learned Controlling and FP&A from the ground up. I completed the Controller Academy and efficiently utilized controlling tools with a strong IT affinity and strategic foresight in various leadership positions across industry, services, and trade.
As a Controller, I was responsible for cost accounting and created corporate plans. I employed both full-cost planning and flexible standard cost accounting simultaneously, introducing contribution margin and profit center calculations. Additionally, I'm familiar with zero-based budgeting, SWOT analyses, price point determination, make-or-buy decisions and scenario analyses. Furthermore, I've developed, implemented, and managed multiple business plans and compensation systems for sales.

During my transition to the New Economy around the turn of the millennium, I expanded my scope to cover the entire commercial domain. I established structured processes, defined responsibilities and successfully implemented the first Navision system on an ASP basis in Germany. I also introduced various ERP systems and leveraged my existing hobby - the English language - within my professional context. My responsibilities encompassed finance, accounting, controlling, FP&A, investor relations, human resources, legal affairs, and general administration, including procurement.

I was responsible for finance and accounting, controlling, taxes, legal affairs, human resources, procurement, marketing, and IT across all companies and branches of Optical Express in Germany and Croatia. Additionally, I contributed to real estate and fleet management as needed, and successfully obtained approval for a subsidiary to operate as a private clinic.
My daily correspondence and communication with international shareholders, colleagues, employees, and superiors was conducted fluently in English.

In recent years, I held the position of Director with full power of attorney in industrial companies with strong development departments or in custom plant engineering. During this time, I brought accounting in-house, established accounting and human resources departments, handled controlling/FP&A personally, developed reporting for shareholders and provided support during financing rounds. Furthermore, I served as a point of contact for auditors and all legal and tax matters.
FINANZ EXPERTISE
I am proficient in HGB (German Commercial Code) and have experience with international financial reporting standards. I independently prepared individual financial statements and consolidated accounts with national and international subsidiaries, spanning multiple consolidation levels, using Excel. Auditors found no reason for objection in either the individual financial statements or the consolidations. Additionally, I assisted an employer during their Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the AIM market in London.

Due to my logical, precise and clear yet diplomatic and friendly demeanor, I am highly respected and valued by superiors, colleagues, employees, investors and business partners. My integrity allows me to implement unpopular decisions when necessary.
